Joel Osteen Devotional 16th October 2025 – Today’s Inspiration
Today’s Topic: It’s What’s Happening Inside
Scripture: About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Acts 16:25, NIV
In Acts 16, Paul and Silas had been beaten with rods and thrown in prison for preaching in the city of Philippi. Rather than complaining or being worried about whether they might receive justice, they were at peace and worshipping God with their feet fastened to stocks. Our outside circumstances don’t determine our peace; it’s what’s happening inside. When you face difficulties and you’re connected to your Creator, when you’ve learned to pray with humility and thanksgiving, you can say with Paul, “I have some troubles, but I’m in peace. I’m in the hospital, but I’m in peace.
I’m in debt, and my business is struggling, but I’m in peace. I know God is fighting this battle. I know He has the final say.” That’s when you’ll experience peace that passes understanding. Peace where you can sleep in the storm and through the battles. When you’re in peace, you’re showing God that you trust Him. That’s your faith at work. That’s what activates His power. You’ll see Him show out in your life—supernatural healing, supernatural provision, supernatural breakthroughs.
Prayer For Today
“Father, thank You that You, the all-powerful Creator of the universe, are with me, just as You were with Paul and Silas. In the difficult times, when I don’t know how a situation is going to turn out, help me to offer You a sacrifice of praise. I believe You will work out Your plan for me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.”
TODAY’S INSPIRATIONAL MESSAGE: Some people allow way too much worry. Those worrisome thoughts have their own room in your mind. They eat dinner with you every night and greet you first thing in the morning. They ride to work with you and go on vacation with you. Why don’t you give them an eviction notice? No more waking up with worry. Try a different approach and wake up with hope, wake up with faith, wake up with gratitude. When you get up in the morning, instead of letting those worry thoughts play, say, “Father, thank You for another beautiful day. Thank You for my family. Thank You for good health. Lord, I’m excited about my future.” Worry can’t stay in a house full of faith. Discouragement can’t stay in a house full of gratitude. Negativity can’t stay in a house full of hope.
